Denzel Washington Will Return For The Equalizer 3

The Equalizer 3

The Equalizer 3 is now in production, with Denzel Washington reprising his role as the protagonist. The celebrated actor recently revealed to Collider that the third episode is his next cinematic project after starring in the 2014 original and its 2018 sequel The Equalizer 2. In reality, Washington has already began the physical training and preparation required for her role in the action-adventure flick.

Washington remained tight-lipped about anything else, though Antoine Fuqua, who directed the previous two films, is reportedly in talks to return to the director’s chair. After collaborating with Will Smith on the Apple TV+ project Emancipation, this would be Fuqua’s next endeavor. It’s unknown whether Richard Wenk, who wrote the first two films, will return to write the script for the third installment.

The Equalizer is a loose adaptation of the 1980s TV series of the same name. The story involves a former US Marine who becomes a DIA intelligence officer and returns to action to protect a juvenile prostitute from the Russian mafia. Marton Csokas, Chloe Grace Moretz, David Harbour, Bill Pullman, and Melissa Leo co-star alongside Washington in the picture.

The film was given a sequel in 2018, with Washington repeating his role, due to its box office success. Also starring were Pedro Pascal, Ashton Sanders, and Orson Bean (in his final role). This time, Robert McCall of Washington seeks violent retribution when a close friend is slain.
This picture was also a box office triumph.
