Says That Ryan Reynolds Hates Him
The release of Deadpool 3 was recently revealed by Ryan Reynolds. Don’t expect to see TJ Miller on screen alongside them, even when Hugh Jackman joins the cast as Wolverine in the third Deadpool movie.
Miller starred in the first two episodes of the hugely successful series as the character Weasel. But he then said that his time sharing the set with Ryan Reynolds was gone.
The Adam Carolla Show
The topic of the Deadpool universe came up while the comic was a guest on The Adam Carolla Show to promote a new stand-up special called Dear Jonah.
When discussing his former co-star, Miller initially stated that his wife believes Reynolds despises him.
He said, “I could see him hating me.”
He continued by explaining his participation on the program Hot Ones, in which he claimed that the actor playing Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds, is so attractive that both men and women would find it offensive to make fun of him.
He praised Reynolds’ humorous skills, which was a backhanded remark but was still very much a compliment.
“Then after he got super, super famous from the first Deadpool, then he, yeah, things kind of changed,” Miller remarked. “I mean would I work with him again? No, I would not work with him again.”
Has Said Similar To Michael Bay
Miller subsequently clarified his remarks by claiming that although he is acquainted with Michael Bay, he had previously made similar remarks about the director.
Miller cited an incident from the set when Carolla grilled him on whether he was certain Reynolds despised him.
Miller claimed that Reynolds began making remarks that appeared to be grounded in reality while riffing in character during the final take of a sequence for one of the films.
“I got offstage and I walked over, and the whole crew was acting weird.”
Miller continued by saying that this was the case because Reynolds wouldn’t typically do something of this nature.
We’ll see if Miller stays true to his principles and refuses to watch Deadpool 3 or if the two can patch things up.
